dementia support service

manchester dementia support service

The dementia support service supports older people who are beginning to show the early signs of dementia.  The service started operation as pilot by Manchester Supporting People in October 2007.  Cuts in Supporting People funding threatened the future of the service, but we were successful in securing fresh funding through Manchester's Directorate of Adult Services.  The service now supports more than forty older people across the city.
